If you're a beginner we will focus on all the basics you need to go from language level A0 to around mid A1 (basic proficiency). These lessons cover verbs, adverbs, nouns, adjectives, prepositions and much more. And you won't be needing a book or print-outs. After completing these lessons you'll be able to easily level up from mid A1 to A2.
Basic Proficiency (Level A1)
When you have a basic understanding of Dutch we will start with practical exercises at language level A1. These lessons focus on all kinds of receptive (listening & reading) and productive (writing & speaking) language exercises, including reading and understanding texts, writing letters and notes, answering questions (orally), et cetera. The number of lessons you'll need to go from level A1 to A2 is relatively small.
Medium Proficiency (Level A2/B1) | Inburgeringsexamen
If your level of Dutch is somewhere around intermediate we will focus on exercises at level A2. At this level we can also help you to get yourself ready for the inburgeringsexamen (integration exam) which is at level A2. Once you've mastered level A2 you'll be at the start of level B1.
High Proficiency (Level B1/B2/C1) | Staatsexamen I/II
If your level of Dutch is upper intermediate or above we will focus on exercises at level B1 or B2. At this level we can also help you to get yourself ready for the staatsexamen program I and/or II (state exams Dutch as a second language (Nt2)). Program I is for those who want to work or study at the educational level mbo 3 or 4. This level is equal to level B1. Program II is for those who want to work or study at the educational level of bachelor or master. This level is equal to level B2.
Each 60 minute lesson will also come with homework. After each lesson the teacher will assign homework via email. More often than not, homework will be in the form of a writing assignment. This gives you time to focus on your writing skills. And during your next lesson the teacher will give you feedback on it.
